Here is the long awaited, much anticipated calendar of events for Patchwork Pals 2009.
April 28 - Kaye Evans - special guest speaker
May 12 - BOM, hanging sleeve demo (Elizabeth)
May 26 - One block wonder demo and cutting (Alice)
June 9 - BOM, charity baby quilt due, shaggy raggy demo (Jane)
June 23 - Machine quilting demo (Gail)
July 14 - BOM, bring favorite quilting book and quilt from it if made and available
July 28 - Hand piecing/quilting demo (Elizabeth)
Aug 11 - BOM, Bag demo (Sue)
Aug 25 - Appliqué demo (Alice)
Sept 8 - BOM, Challenge due
Sept 22 - Sashing/setting, bring in examples
Oct 13 - BOM, Bonnie Hunt blocks (Kathy)
Oct 27 - Borders, bring in examples

INTERESTED IN A PLACE TO GET SOME BOOKS FOR SUMMER READING Did you know you can log on to the GA PINES library website and browse through almost 3,000 books with the keyword "quilting"? You can then place "Holds" on any book in the system and have it sent to the library closest to you for pickup. This is a treasure trove of free quilting books so if you haven't logged on, check it out. You will need your PINES card with your library number and will have to set up a password. All sorts of Books can be borrowed this way and it is so easy!
